Alright everyone, it's been forever since I've blogged here.
I actually stopped by to direct your attention to another blog that I started in May.

We've had a lot go on in our little life, and I would love it if you popped on over every now and then to this fun little blog of mine.

Exciting New Year
Now that the holidays are over and done with, until February that is, we can finally start to relax. Or, so we hope. ;)
A little overview of the holidays: I worked the 23rd of December this year, a 10.5 hour shift, and we both worked the 26th. We decided to spend the weekend with my parents in South Jordan, which was really nice. We celebrated Christmas a day early, on the 24th, and we had a lot of fun. Presents from my parents came with the "survival" theme, and everyone had a great time relaxing. We also spent 2-3 hours with Nana at her apartment. The next day we went to Daren and Joni's ward to listen to their program and hear them sing. We were able to spend time with their kids and grandparents. Later in the evening we made our way back to Logan, but with a what should have been a quick stop, but ended up being an all evening adventure with Grandparents. We had a wonderful feast that grandmother put together for us, and had a wonderful time Skyping with Miguel's family for quite sometime on Christmas.
We didn't do too much for New Year's Eve, but we were able to spend a lot of time with the Traveller's at their house along with some of the missionaries from Miguel's mission. Boy, did they have a party! ;) New Year's Day was a simple, but relaxing day since I worked the next day.
Miguel and I have spent every single holiday together, minus Mother's Day May of 2011. It's been quite the nice set up for us. Every holiday we have been able to talk about traditions, or even just have a good time with each other or family.
I can't believe that we have been together for almost one whole year. We decided January 22nd was the official day we started dating. We've known each other since January 11th and went on our first date on the 17th.
Time sure has flown by for us. Next thing you know, we will have been married for a year. ;)
School starts tomorrow for Miguel. He's super excited for school to start up. He's gotten a little bored over the break without something other than me to take up his time. Miguel is taking 6 classes: 3 Linguistics, Humanities, Calculus and a Racquet ball class. He's going to try out the linguistic side of his interests to see if he wants to pursue that instead of Engineering.
Wish him luck on his new class!

A Small, But Painful Tumble
What a fantastic day! Miguel has been with me almost all day, Christmas shopping is finished and movies will ensue a little later after the chocolate syrup and ice cream has been bought.
Life could not be better.
Wait, it could. My knee could be in tip top shape instead of being inflamed for over the last 42 hours. The pain could subside, and the skin could quickly grow back.
Folks, don't try gymnastics or super cool climbing moves on your Hubby. Especially when that Hubby moves and you land hard on your left knee.
The pain, the terrible pain! Okay, a bit of an exaggeration, but as I try to walk down the stairs or put my leg in the car, well let's just say I think I have reached my pain tolerance level.
Thank goodness for ibuprofen. It's amazing, along with ice filled baggies.
Hopefully the skin will grow back, and the swelling will completely reduce to nothing.
Other than that, Christmas has been bought, almost wrapped and one left to send. :) I feel very accomplished. It helps to have a strong Hubby to hold your hand and walk slow down the aisles.
Miguel is loving his new job at Kabuki! The people he works with are nice, married and give him compliments on what a nice job he is doing. He can eat all the rice he wants, along with soup and soda. Can't complain much, can he? ;)

Congrats!
Miguel picked up a second job over the break. :) He is working some nights at Kabuki, the Japanese restaurant by our house.
If this job turns out to be better than Fox's Pizza, and if Miguel gets the job on campus that he wants, goodbye late night during the week.

Stylin'
Today was quite the day, and it isn't even over with yet.
Miguel got a hair cut, note the picture, and an interview with a Kabuki, a Japanese restaurant by our house. :)
He goes in for the interview tomorrow! I told him to shave, no worries. ;)
I did not get a hair cut today, but I did drive a very nice, cherry red, 2011 Ford Mustang today. No big deal, right? I had that opportunity due to an Avis First Member needing a ride home. So, from Avis in Logan to his house in Wellsville I went. Great car. Great lookin' girl in that car. :)
I did happen to let Miguel park it for me. It's the least I could do.
We got the Christmas package from mãe and pai. Obrigada! :)
The presents will look great under our cute little Christmas tree from Mom and Dad.
I got my Christmas check today. Well, my paycheck, but it feels like a Christmas check.
Miguel has a super busy day tomorrow at work and an interview. Good thing that's at 10:30 and part one of two shifts starts at 11. Good luck to him tomorrow!
No word on the final grades for his classes, but test results for Biology and Physics have shown up. Fantastic in Biology and decent in Physics. I think they just need better professors up here teaching the Engineering classes.
Anyway, have a good weekend!
